    We've recently updated our subscription and you can now see Zinio's top 100 magazines. We also provide unlimited access to our archive, which you can even view on a mobile device. If you need any help,you can read our user guide which shows you how to use Zinio.

    Install the Zinio for Libraries app from your app store to download and read offline using your Zinio for Libraries account credentials.

    If you have created an account on Zinio prior to 1 April 2015, you need to register again by selecting the 'Create New Account' option. Enter the same e-mail address and password you previously used to retrieve your account information.

    Android and iPad Zinio for Libraries apps are already available.

    The british newspaper British Newspaper Archive

    The British Newspaper is a partnership between the British Library and brightsolid online publishing to digitize up to 40 million newspaper pages from the British Library's vast collection over the next 10 years. New pages are added every day from hundreds of local and regional newspapers from across the UK and Ireland. Get a real sense of Britian's history. Read it today, as it happened.

    It includes pages from newspapers published up to 1950, concentrating mainly on post 1800 material but some editions as early as 1716 are available.

  • e-books and audio books

    OverdriveOverDrive allows you to borrow  e-books and audiobooks for free from bestsellers to classics. It is compatible on a wide range of devices but unfortunately not the Kindle e-readers yet (but works just fine with the Kindle Fire). All you need to get started is an Internet connection, your library card and PIN number. For more information on how to get started get in touch with your local library or visit OverDrive Help.
    OverDrive also provides e-reading rooms for children and for teens allowing them to browse safely and see a selection of age appropriate titles.

    Please note that the website currently works best using Mozilla Firefox and recent versions of Internet Explorer.


    One clickOneClickdigital (audio books only)
    One-Click Digital provides audio books for every library borrower. Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, Library borrowers can download bestsellers to play on their MP3 Player, iPod or computer from home or anywhere in the world. A simple “one click” download process can transfer audio book content from the One Click digital platform to a portable media player. As each title has unlimited availability, All that is required is a PC with broadband internet access and your library membership details. Download the user guide. ( Please note this document is 50 pages long!) (Ten titles at any one time)

    In April 2015 Enfield have joined with other London Library Consortium partners to provide OneClick Digital eAudiobooks. For all existing customers to be able to continue to use this service you will need to re-register your OneClick Digital account. To do this go to the following URL and register again. Once you have re-registered you can use the service as usual via the OneClick Digital website or app. If using the app, please search for the 'London Libraries Consortium' rather than 'Enfield' to identify your library.


    BorrowboxBorrowBox offers easy access to a broad choice of eAudiobooks for you to borrow and listen to through a simple app for smartphones and tablets, and you can also borrow and download your eAudiobooks to your PC or Mac to put them onto an iPod or other MP3 player.

    You can borrow up to 4 eAudiobooks at a time and they’ll automatically expire at the end of the three-week loan period, so you won’t need to return them. BorrowBox includes a selection of titles for adults, young adults, and children.
