Double win for Meridian Water

The Meridian Water team has secured a double win at the Planning Awards for Best Housing Scheme (500 homes or more), and the Editor's Choice Award. This is a testament to the incredibly hard work and dedication of our Meridian Water colleagues and wider teams at Enfield Council who are working towards transformational change in the Upper Edmonton area, leading to new jobs, training opportunities and homes.

These awards highlight the exceptional contribution across planning and placemaking sectors. Congratulations again to Meridian Water and all the 2024 winners.

Meridian Water win at Pineapple Awards

Enfield Council’s Meridian Water team is proud to have won a Pineapple Award for Future Public Realm. Thanks to the ongoing efforts to create educational, recreational, and open spaces for everyone.

Meridian Water is rapidly progressing with new infrastructure on its way, including new open spaces for the Edmonton community.

Apprentice of the year

Jake Hummerstone, our Counter Fraud Apprentice fought off competition from across Local Government, Central Government and the NHS to win Apprentice or Newcomer of the Year at the recent Public Sector Fraud Awards.

The award is given to an individual who has made impressive progress in a short space of time and shows huge potential to go further. Jake won the award for his flair in bringing about innovation and making an outstanding contribution to several key projects, especially with his ability to find new ways of using data to identify fraud.

Our award-winning street homelessness service

Congratulations to the Housing Advisory Service’s street homelessness team who won second prize at the 2023 London Homelessness Awards (LHA). The prize recognises their dedicated work and Somewhere Safe to Stay Hub. Along with their LHA trophy, the team received £15,000. This will help pay for services to further support vulnerable homeless people.
