SEND
Enfield's Local Offer provides help and support to children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and their families. We offer a wide range of services for parents and carers, as well as young people who want to live as independently as possible.
A parents and carers guide to finding a school (PDF, 1653.4 KB) is primarily intended for children with a diagnosis of Autism or children who have been to CDT and may get a diagnosis at a social communication clinic but are still waiting for an appointment.
Enfield Advisory Service for Autism
Enfield Advisory Service for Autism (EASA) - Parents and carers can self-refer for support and advice. One of their team members will be in touch for an initial triage once the form has been processed and allocated.
They have Cuppa and Chat mornings every 2nd and 3rd Thursday of the month. You will need to register to attend a session.
The 2nd Thursday is for parents/carers of early years and primary aged autistic children, and the 3rd Thursday is for parents of secondary and Post 16 Aged autistic children.
This is an opportunity to meet the EASA team, hear about topical issues and socialise with other parents and carers in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Parents and carers can also view and register for the various different trainings that EASA has to offer which are either face to face or online.

Enfield CAMHS
Enfield CAMHS is the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service in the London Borough of Enfield, providing multidisciplinary assessment and treatment for children and young people with mental health or severe emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Enfield's Youth and Family Hubs
All families need support from time to time to help their babies and children thrive, whether that's from friends, family, volunteers, or professionals.
Enfield's Youth and Family Hubs bring together lots of different services for children and families, making it easier for them to get the help they need at the right time. Offering help and support for families, from pregnancy up until age 19, or 25 for young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

Enfield Children's Centres
A Children's Centre provides opportunities for families with children under 5 to learn, develop and have fun. It is a place for families to attend free courses, workshops and drop in sessions. The Children's Centre brings together a wide range of services and support for families with young children as part of Enfield's Early Help Family Hub.

Tax-free childcare

Child Maintenance Service
Child maintenance covers how your child’s living costs will be paid when one of the parents does not live with the child. This includes things like food and clothes, and helping to provide a home for your child or children.
The Child Maintenance Service is a free service that provides impartial information and support. The website has a range of tools and guides, including a Family Based Arrangement form and calculator, Live Chat, and email services to help with the following:
- to work out an amount to pay
- to arrange payments and take action if a parent does not pay
- to sort out disagreements about parentage
- to try to find the other parent if you do not know where they are
The Child Maintenance Service aims to provide a fair and efficient system for parents to contribute to their children's upbringing, promoting stability and security in their lives.

Healthy Start
With Healthy Start, you get free vouchers every week to spend on milk, fresh and frozen fruit and vegetables, and infant formula milk. You can also get free vitamins.
Care to Learn scheme
The Care to Learn scheme provides funding for childcare to help young parents (defined as those aged under 20) continue in education after the birth of a child. The scheme provides funding for childcare whilst the young parent is engaged in a study programme. It can also be used to help with travel costs involved in taking the child to the childcare provider.
