Healthy Enfield is a health and wellbeing website for Enfield residents overseen by the Joint Health and Wellbeing Board in conjunction with Enfield Council's Public Health Intelligence Team.
Health and Wellbeing Board
The Enfield Health and Wellbeing Board is a forum where the key leaders from the health, care and other partners can work together to improve the health and wellbeing of the local population and reduce health inequalities.
It was set up under the Health and Social care Act 2012 and has 20 memberships from across the council, NHS and voluntary sector representatives.
Health and wellbeing boards are a key part of the Government’s broader plans to modernise the health and care system and to:
- Ensure stronger democratic legitimacy and involvement
- Strengthen working relationships between health and social care, and,
- Encourage the development of more integrated commissioning of services.
The vision of the Enfield Health and Wellbeing Board is to give people in Enfield opportunities to live healthier, happier lives. We also want to narrow the gaps in healthy life expectancy between those living in our most deprived communities and those who are better off. Please see our Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy (PDF, 1712.81 KB).
