Introduction
Smoking is still one of the UK's largest causes of premature mortality and preventable disease. It is the primary cause of a number of diseases, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), several cancers, cardiovascular disease and a number of other health risks. In England, 74,600 people per year die of smoking related illness. (PHE, 2019)
