The first of 10,000 new homes are well underway at Meridian Water signalling the start of a new era of housing in Enfield.
The Leader of Enfield Council, Cllr Nesil Caliskan, visited Meridian One for a topping-out ceremony to mark the completion of the blocks at Enfield Council’s flagship regeneration project, Meridian Water.
Once complete Meridian One will deliver around 950 new homes for local people and the first homes are due to be ready in early 2023.
During this visit the Leader visited blocks A and E which compromises of a total of 118 council homes for local people.
Cllr Nesil Caliskan, Leader of Enfield Council, said:
“This is great news for Enfield and its residents, we are forging ahead with Meridian Water and making rapid progress to provide a range of housing for local residents.
“This is an important milestone and it was brilliant to see progress on site, particularly the 118 homes which will be retained by the Council, delivering on our promise of genuinely affordable homes for Edmonton residents and those across the borough.
I am looking forward to seeing more milestones reached as the construction progress quickly and to the first residents moving in.”

Meridian Water is Enfield Council’s flagship development that will provide 10,000 homes, 6,000 jobs and a wide range of community, leisure and commercial uses over the years to come.
