Winchmore School students with their results and the Mayor of Enfield

Commenting on today’s GCSE results, Cllr Abdul Abdullahi, the Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, said: “We are immensely proud of Enfield’s pupils, teaching staff and schools for their hard work and remarkable achievements. Enfield’s students have obtained tremendous GCSE results and I would like to wish every single one of them well in all their future endeavors.

“Enfield Council is working with its schools so they provide supportive, nurturing environments where our young people can learn and grow mentally and emotionally.

“We will continue to work with headteachers, teachers and parents to instill a determination in our young people to realise their ambitions.

“This day is a very exciting time for all but can be a nerve-racking experience for a few. There are a lot of choices for pupils after GCSEs - for any students unsure of their next steps, Enfield Council offers excellent support to help young people decide on their next steps.
