Audiences are invited to explore eight, specially commissioned creative responses to a building or place in the borough as part of this year’s Open House Festival.

The Festival offers a unique opportunity for residents and visitors to explore Enfield’s rich cultural heritage. Enfield Creatives, a collective of talented local artists, designers, and makers, will be at the heart of this celebration, offering a series of workshops, exhibitions, and interactive activities that showcase the diverse creative talents within the community.

The Enfield Creatives Collection has been made possible with the support of The Enfield Society and government funding and was commissioned by Enfield Council. The free programme can be viewed on 15, 21 or 22 September and will include creative workshops, art exhibitions and interactive installations.

Commenting on the Council's involvement, Councillor Chinelo Anyanwu, Cabinet Member for Environment, Culture and Public Spaces , said: “This event is a fantastic opportunity to highlight the incredible creative talent we have in Enfield and for people to engage with the vibrant creative community of Enfield. I strongly encourage everyone to attend the activities hosted by Enfield Creatives and experience firsthand the rich cultural fabric that makes our borough so unique. Whether you're an art enthusiast or simply curious about what our local artists have to offer, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.”

The programme includes:

  • A creative exploration of All Saints Church
  • Facades – a new piece by Brigitte Beraha
  • Poetry at Forty Hall Estate
  • Gordon Hill Station Wartime Pillbox and Dragon’s Teeth
  • Music with Plants by the Glasshouse
