Applications open for Enfield Young Producer Programme

Young people aged between 18 and 25, who are passionate about producing professional creative events are invited to apply for the Enfield Young Producer Programme.

In partnership with Enfield Council and Dugdale Arts Centre (DAC), Poet in the City at Apples and Snakes has designed the programme to help develop the talent of young producers from in and around Enfield, whether they are just starting out or looking to sharpen existing skills.

From gaining key industry skills by working with some of the UK’s leading poets to getting hands-on training, the Enfield Young Producer Programme will offer transferable skills in creative producing, programming, production and marketing.

The in-person sessions will take place over the course of 10 weeks, with initial interviews on 27 November.

Successful applicants will begin their first workshop on 11 December at the DAC and will receive a bursary of £650 to further support their progress.

Enfield Council is committed to investing in the creative sector to bring more opportunities for young people to help strengthen their skills and to support their career progression.

The Cabinet Member for Environment, Culture & Public Spaces, Cllr Chinelo Anyanwu, said: “We will always champion our young people to grow, learn and develop their skills. By working with trailblazers such as Poet in the City at Apples and Snakes Enfield Council will help to bring fresh opportunities to young people and support their professional development, setting them on the path to fantastic creative careers.”

Poet in the City at Apples and Snakes is England’s leading spoken word poetry organisation that aims to support poets at all stages of their careers and ensure that unheard voices become heard.

This project is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Arts Council England.

The application is now open and will close on 20 November. Spaces are limited so to apply click here. For more information, visit this link.
