Nine community groups have been offered funding from the Enfield Together Fund 2025, to help provide crisis support to those most in need in the borough.
Enfield Council designed the fund to empower local organisations to extend or continue providing essential services to those most in need. This will add to the joint work done by Enfield Council and community groups to address the rising living costs impacting the local community.
The initiative is supported with £200,000 from UK government’s Household Support Fund.
The successful applicants are:
- ECYPS – Children and Young Persons Services
- Northside Youth and Community Connexions
- Centre for Social Inclusion
- Ponders End Community Development Trust
- Southgate Mosque Food Bank
- All People All Places (APAP)
- Enfield Carers Centre
- Edmonton Community Partnership
- Restore Community Church Albany
The Council received 90 submissions for grants ranging from £10,000 to £30,000 from local registered charities, voluntary organisations, and community groups based or operating in Enfield. The successful applicants will use the funding predominantly to help individuals and families with energy and water bills, food and wider essentials such as support with other bills, clothing and hygiene products.
Cllr Ergin Erbil, Leader of Enfield Council, commented: "We understand the impact that the cost-of-living crisis is having on our communities. The Enfield Together Fund 2025 is one example of our commitment to supporting those in need. We are incredibly grateful to all community organisations, faith groups and charities who are doing incredible work on the ground in our borough. We hope that the funding offered to these nine applicants will help them to continue to make a real difference to those who are most in need."
