Enterprise Enfield has launched a new service to help early trading business owners enhance their digital skills and boost their business performance.
The Digital Accelerator Programme, funded by Enfield Council, offers a range of free specialised advice, training and support services to help businesses boost their online presence; enhance their websites, use social media effectively and increase their sales.
Des Johnson, CEO of Enterprise Enfield said: “Many businesses want to make better use of technology to reach new customers and increase their revenue, but just don’t know where to start or where to go for the right advice. This Digital Accelerator service will empower these owners with the vital advice, guidance and hands-on support they need to get to grips with digital skills, stay competitive and grow their businesses successfully.”
Digital Accelerator support can include assisting businesses to:
- Create or enhance a website to ensure it is appealing and increases customer traffic
- Improve a website’s SEO and boost search engine ranking
- Harness the power of social media channels to reach new customers and create loyal followers
- Enhance Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
- Get to grips with e-commerce and online payment processing
As well as digital skills, the programme will assist businesses looking for finance – by offering advice on accessing suitable finance and investment through traditional sources such as banks, as well as alternative methods such as crowdfunding.
Forthcoming seminars/workshops scheduled under this programme include a Getting Started on Social Media Workshop and a Talking Social Media Basics seminar.
Entrepreneur in Residence and specialist Digital Adviser, Paul Lamm, has been appointed to provide expert advice on how businesses can make the most of digital technology and source finance and investment. Digital marketing and business consultant, Marija Butkovic will also be delivering digital marketing and social media training for participants. Marija is the CEO of Women of Wearables – a global organisation aiming to support and connect women in wearable and fashion tech.

The Digital Business Accelerator Programme is available to any early stage business owners who are either trading or have registered a business under 42 months old. They must either have business premises located in the London borough of Enfield, or be willing to relocate to the borough - this can include registering with Enterprise Enfield’s Let's Go! Business Hub* Support is provided at Enterprise Enfield’s premises at Enfield Business Centre, 201 Hertford Road, Enfield EN3 5JH.
