We are committed to investing in the community, and have the same expectations of our housing contractors. We seek to work with contractors that share our values and are committed to providing an excellent service to the borough.
The Community Investment Panel has been set up to make sure our contractors deliver social, economic and environmental value to the community in a way that benefits our residents. The panel includes 7 residents (tenants and leaseholders) as well as council officers, to ensure projects are successfully delivered.
Get involved – submit your ideas now
We want you to get involved by suggesting ideas for projects or donations that would benefit the community. Project ideas could include, improvements to the community, or donations to food banks and local charities. Projects or donations can range from £500 to £5,000.
If you have an idea that would benefit your community, please complete the social value suggestion form.
Process
We will review your suggestion, and if suitable, it will be discussed at the next Community Investment Panel meeting. If approved, it will either be allocated to a contractor as part of an existing contract, or retained for a future contract.
