If you're worried about becoming homeless, contact us as soon as you can.
We offer homelessness advice and support to people leaving hospital. For example, we could help you to:
- avoid becoming homeless
- make your accommodation more suitable
- find other housing options
- plan your move to a new home
Claiming benefits while you're in hospital
If you claim Housing Benefit or Universal Credit – and you will be in hospital for one night or longer – you must tell the office that pays your benefits.
