Overview
Edmonton is one of our top priority areas for regeneration. Despite its location and historic buildings, it has been in physical and economic decline for many years.
As with other areas across the borough, we have prepared an area action plan and masterplan for Edmonton. The Edmonton Green Masterplan guides decisions on planning applications and contains policies covering:
- design
- employment and education
- energy, sustainability and biodiversity
- flood risks
- housing
- recreation and leisure
- retail
- transport

Angel Gardens
Angel Gardens is to the east of Rays Road in Edmonton. It was previously closed off to the public, but following investment it has become an exciting open space for local residents.
New features include a community growing area, outdoor gym, and a free-running course, designed in partnership with local residents.
More recently we have supported the formation of the Friends of Meridian Water community gardening group who will be looking after the community garden.
