Ponders End Partnership
The regeneration vision for Ponders End was developed in partnership with the community and emerged as a framework for change document.
A central planning brief was adopted to support the regeneration of the high street (Electric Quarter), and the Alma Estate Regeneration now forms major plans for change to the South Street area.
Ponders End Partnership was formalised in 2012 to shape and influence Ponders End, acknowledging the vital role of the local community. In addition, the North East Enfield Area Partnership provides strategic direction and oversight to the North East of Enfield. The key objectives are to:
- advise, inform and influence the regeneration
- act as an envoy between the third sector developers, statutory bodies (such as the council), Metropolitan Police, CHENEL, NHS Enfield and Jobcentre Plus, ensuring aims and objectives are achieved
- provide advice to the North East Area Partnership
