Introduction
Closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras and CCTV cars are placed across Enfield to help enforce parking and traffic restrictions. They are different from the CCTV cameras we use to catch crime. You can request footage from CCTV cameras.

Body-worn cameras
Our civil enforcement officers (CEOs) wear video cameras to help them carry out their responsibilities safely and to provide an open and transparent service.
Body-worn video cameras are openly used by many London local authorities to record the details of parking contraventions and instances of aggressive behaviour towards CEOs.
Body-worn video cameras are used for personal safety reasons and are intended to act as a deterrent against acts of aggression or verbal and physical abuse towards our officers – they are also used while enforcing Blue Badge misuse.
Footage is recorded on a secure encrypted device.
We will not keep footage for longer than a month, unless there is a reason to keep it longer, for example, an ongoing prosecution through the police.
We do not tolerate aggressive or threatening behaviour towards our CEOs and we will use footage from incidents as evidence to prosecute offenders.
We have put up signs to help you identify where there are CCTV cameras.

Conduit Lane and Montagu Road 2019
We put in place a temporary banned right turn from Conduit Lane N18 to Montagu Road N18 between 29 October 2019 and 30 November 2019. This restriction was part of wider traffic management measures due to Meridian Way being closed for roadworks.

- 16 October 2019 (PDF, 127.94 KB) – This is the original order that was made on 16 October 2019 and came into operation on 17 October 2019. Clause 2 (d) prohibits the right turn from Conduit Lane into Montagu Road.
- 11 November 2019 (PDF, 74.44 KB) – This is the notice that supported the introduction of the mandatory ahead only signs added to the signage on 11 November 2019 to reinforce the banned movement from Conduit Lane into Montagu Road. The additional restriction brought into effect by the notice covered the period between 11 and 16 November.
- 13 November 2019 (PDF, 103.63 KB) – This is the order that was made on 13 November 2019 and came into operation on 16 November 2019. It continues to support the additional mandatory ahead only signs erected to reinforce the banned movement from Conduit Lane into Montagu Road.
Conduit Lane and Montagu Road 2020
A temporary banned right turn was put in place from Conduit Lane N18 to Montagu Road N18 between 19 May 2020 and 2 July 2020. This restriction was part of wider traffic management measures due to Meridian Way being closed for roadworks.

Bull Lane bus gate
This project helped address a gap in Cycleway 1 that existed at the location.
During the design process, it was revealed that the best option would be for cyclists to mix with the general traffic between the roundabout at Bridport Road and White Hart Lane. However, according to LTN 1/20, the traffic volumes through this area were too high for this.
The bus gate was introduced to reduce traffic volumes to an acceptable level while minimising any impacts to bus and emergency services.

Warning notices were issued to vehicles from 29 August 2023 and Penalty Charge Notices were issued from 5 September 2023.
Signage was erected on 29 August 2023.
