As part of the festival, we have created an interactive map of Enfield for residents and members of the public to explore and enjoy a diverse range of placemaking projects delivered by the council and partners over the past few years.
The map includes self-guided tours of Enfield Town and Edmonton and highlights exciting projects in the wider borough. It will show information about the projects, including how they may look in the future, their history and the stories behind them. These projects showcase how we care for and maintain the communities, parks, the environment and buildings in Enfield.
Stops on the tours include mixed-use regeneration schemes, community projects, new homes and historic landmarks with a focus on locally listed sites in Enfield.
The tours also highlight cultural and landscape interventions such as the work of local public artists produced during the coronavirus pandemic, the wetlands schemes and rain gardens.
The tour is suitable for anyone on a bike, walking and for those with young children, buggies or using a wheelchair.
The London Festival of Architecture starts on 1 June 2021.
