A walk down Memory Lane
Local charity MHA Communities North London worked with 12 older residents to record their life experiences.
These 12 stories formed a walking heritage trail through Enfield town in September 2022. They were accompanied by artworks designed and created by a range of borough community groups. The artworks reflected the themes of the stories, including education, war and experiences of migration.
The images above are older borough residents who have shared their stories for this project.
Below are a few examples of the public artworks threaded through Enfield Town in Autumn 2022. These were created by a range of organisations inspired by the life stories of older Enfield residents.
Mural created by Nursery on the Green, inspired by Class’ tales of buying a house.
Mural created by 20th Southgate Scouts, inspired by Stephen’s stories of attending school.
