Getting your COVID-19 vaccine
With the rapid spread of Omicron, we urge you to get vaccinated to keep yourself, your loved ones and Enfield safe.
Now is the time to get a COVID-19 vaccine - a booster, or your first or second dose. Don’t delay, book yours today.
Enfield Council is working with its partners across North London and in the NHS to make it as easy as possible for you to get your vaccination.
You can still have your first and second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and most people will be eligible for the COVID-19 booster vaccine.
You can book your vaccine via the NHS National Booking Service, calling 119, or you can just walk into a vaccine centre in Enfield.

National Booking Service
If you are 16 or over, you can book the first and second dose of the COVID-19 vaccination by visiting the NHS National Booking Service. You will be able to choose a time slot and location that suits you.

You can also call 119 free of charge to book an appointment. Lines are open every day between 7am and 11pm.

Walk-in vaccination centres
Walk-in centres mean you don't need an appointment. You don't even need to be registered with a GP, and there will be no immigration status checks. Our centres will not ask any information from you other than to confirm your name, date of birth and address. They will also go through some simple questions about your health.
There are several venues in Enfield offering walk-in appointments for first, second dose and booster COVID-19 vaccinations, without needing to book in advance.
Vaccines for children and young people
All children aged 5 years or older are now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine.
The vaccine slows the spread of the virus, reduces the risk of becoming ill with COVID-19 and prevents more disruption to education.
Parents and carers of children and young people in Enfield will receive information offering them the chance to make an appointment for their child to be vaccinated. You can also make an appointment by calling 119.

COVID-19 booster vaccine
If you are over 16 you can get your COVID-19 booster vaccine 3 months after your second dose.
People who are pregnant can also get a booster dose.
If you are eligible for the COVID-19 booster you can book on the NHS National Booking Service or visit several venues in Enfield offering walk-in appointments.

Every batch of COVID-19 vaccine undergoes stringent tests to ensure its safety before it can be used. You can find more details on how the vaccination is given, safety information and other frequently asked questions by visiting North Central London Clinical Commissioning Group.

In February 2021, a panel of experts and GPs provided advice and information about the vaccines, and answered questions from Enfield residents to help them make an informed choice about getting vaccinated.

Vaccines are our best defence against the virus, but you should continue to follow government guidance to protect yourself and your family, even if you have had the vaccine. Keep two metres apart from anyone outside your household or bubble, regularly wash your hands for 20 seconds or more, and cover your face and nose when you are in public indoor spaces.
Community engagement
Enfield Council is working hard with its partners to make sure everyone has the information they need to have the confidence to take part in the biggest immunisation programme in history.

There are several videos in languages spoken within the borough, including Bengali, Polish, Somali and Turkish. See an example of one of these short films below.
Enfield Council has also launched the 'V for Vaccinated' campaign. The campaign is to encourage all Enfield residents to get the coronavirus vaccine. If you're proud of getting the jab, please take a picture of yourself making the V sign, and share your photograph using the hashtag #vaccinated and #KeepEnfieldSafe, to encourage others to be vaccinated.
