Council seeks court injunction to ban car meets

The council has applied to the High Court for an interim injunction in the above case concerning car cruising across the borough.
An Interim Injunction Order (with a Power of Arrest attached to it), to prevent car cruising meets across the borough was granted on 6 October 2024 and comes into effect at 12am on 12 December 2024 and will remain in force for one year, until 11.59 pm on 12 December 2025.
Any person claiming to be affected by the Injunction Order may file and serve evidence but shall do so not later than 4 pm on 24 October 2025.
